Matthew B. (Matt) Walker joined the Fidelity National Title Great Lakes team in April of 2018 after more than thirteen years in private practice at respected metropolitan-Detroit law firms. Matt leads operations of the local and national commercial business units, including financial performance and sales, escrow and settlement personnel, and grows relationships with customers and national operations. He has been selected as a Michigan Super Lawyer (Rising Star) (an award recognizing only 2.5% of lawyers in Michigan) every year since 2012 and has been recognized in Crain’s Detroit Business as a “Top Attorney in Michigan” for real estate law.
Matt received his Juris Doctor in 2005 from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where he received awards for outstanding achievements in trial practice. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2002 from Michigan State University. Matt has been a featured presenter on various title and real estate topics for the National Business Institute and Michigan Land Title Association. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its Real Property Law Section, Michigan Land Title Association, Oakland County Bar Association and Real Estate Committee, and Michigan State University Football Players Alumni Association.
